Astro Cafe – 18 November 2023

We welcome you to the fourth edition of Astro Cafe, an event hosted by a small group of astrologers based in The Netherlands, and taking place on 18 November 2023 from 14:00 to 17:00 at Westerdokpoint in Amsterdam. We invite you to join us for an afternoon of connecting with other astrology enthusiasts, geeking about astrology, and sharing stories to bring astrology alive and learn how the language of the stars applies to your life.

In this edition we’ll discuss so-called “disaster” placements, focusing mostly on planets in detriment and fall. We’ll go over the difference between essential and accidental dignity and how to interpret a planet in detriment or fall in a way that doesn’t instill a sense of doom. And we’ll also share some personal, client and celebrity examples to illustrate how “debilitated” planets uniquely manifest and can sometimes have a very positive and empowering role in someone’s life. In small groups, you’ll work on reframing some of your own more challenging placements and placements in mystery charts. There will also be plenty of space to share and connect with other astrology geeks in a small and intimate setting.

The early bird price to attend the workshop is €17,50 and lasts until 1 November. After 1 November, the price for a ticket is €20,-. There’s a limited amount of space available so make sure to get your ticket as soon as possible. After payment you’ll receive a confirmation of your registration that will count as your entrance ticket. You’ll also receive a short questionnaire a few weeks beforehand so we can gauge what level of astrology fluency you’re at and you’ll get a chance to submit your birth data so you can get a digital copy of your birth chart to keep for future reference.

The location for this event is Westerdokpoint, Westerdok 806, Amsterdam. This is a 15 min. walk from Amsterdam Central Station.

If you want to take public transport you can take bus 48 (direction: Houthavens) from Amsterdam Central Station to bus stop Westerdoksdijk, which is a 2-minute bus ride. From bus stop Westerdoksdijk it’s a 3-minute walk to the location.

If you wish to come by car, parking can be paid in the street, but it’s cheaper to reserve a parking space in the IJDock parking garage at IJdok 33 – if you do so well in advance.
